Membership
The Sunshine Bay Yacht Club is limited to a membership of 52 boats. The club's Regular Membership is currently at capacity but is accepting applications for temporary memberships (filling slips of active members who are unable to put their boat on the docks for the present season); these applications will be added to a membership wait list as they are received.  Select the membership application form below and follow the instructions in order to apply for membership.

Membership

Sailing, location, facilities, and the people.  That's Sunshine Bay Yacht Club!

SBYC is a place where members work together to maintain and operate an outstanding environment for sailing enthusiasts. We are a dynamic club featuring an extensive calendar of cruising, racing, regatta and social events held during the summer and throughout the year.  We welcome your interest in our club and hope the following information will answer some of your questions.

A few types of membership are available:
Regular Membership
  • Moorage privileges and access to docks (maximum one slip)
  • Full use of the Clubhouse and facilities
  • Participate in all social functions, on shore and on the lake events
  • One vote per membership at an annual general meeting
  • The privilege of holding position on the Board of Directors
  • Shall pay initiation fee and annual dues

Temporary or Provisional Membership
  • Temporary moorage for part of or a full season and access to docks (maximum one slip)
  • Full use of the Clubhouse and facilities
  • Participate in all social functions, on shore and on the lake events
  • Acceptance as a temporary or provisional member of SBYC is at the discretion of the Board
  • Shall pay membership fee based on length of membership

Alumni Membership
  • Open to past SBYC members with at least five (5) years of membership in good standing
  • Entitled to “social” privileges at SBYC
  • Participate in all social functions, crew on boats
  • Do not have voting or mooring rights
  • Acceptance as an alumnus of SBYC is at the discretion of the Board
  • Shall pay an annual fee
